Austraffic is proud to announce that we are an official partner of the Professional Footballers Australia (PFA) Player of the Month Awards for the 2021/22 A-Leagues seasons.
The Austraffic Awards will recognise excellence on the pitch in Australia's elite professional domestic leagues, the A-Leagues Men and Women, with the partnership centred on enhancing player-voted accolades.
Widely acknowledged as the most prestigious monthly award in Australian football, the PFA Player of the Month Award is the only peer-voted award in the A-Leagues.
An expert panel consisting of former players and media experts, including Bruce Djite, Clint Bolton, Alex Brosque, Simon Hill, Grace Gill, Tara Rushton, and Georgia Yeoman-Dale, will nominate outstanding players for the PFA membership to vote on at the end of each month.
Last season's winners included Alou Kuol, Oliver Bozanic, Jamie Maclaren, Tomer Hemed, Michelle Heyman, Clare Wheeler and Kyra Cooney-Cross.
Austraffic's Queensland Principals Caralyn and Martin Jordan-Williams are excited to support and celebrate each month's outstanding performers in the A-Leagues again this season.
"Austraffic is extremely honoured to partner with the PFA for these prestigious awards. The collective A-leagues are a unified force on this 'eve' of back-to-back World Cup tournaments, and this season promises to exhibit the very best of our domestic competition. To present this monthly peer-voted award in partnership with an organisation like the PFA, run by the players for the players, is truly special."
PFA Co-Chief Executive Beau Busch has welcomed Austraffic to the PFA family and is thankful for our support of the players.
"There is no higher honour than the respect of your peers, and we are delighted to be able to amplify the PFA A-Leagues Player of the Month Award in partnership with Austraffic."
"Both Austraffic and the PFA share a deep commitment to gender equality and to harnessing the power of sport to create positive change in society, and this partnership will help advance this objective through celebrating the onfield excellence of our elite male and female players."
