Congratulations to Sydney FC’s Joe Lolley and Adelaide United goalkeeper Claudia Jenkins, who have been voted by their peers as the winners of the Austraffic PFA Player of the Month for January.
Lolley and Jenkins received the highest number of votes out of the six players nominated for the Player of the Month in each the A-League Men and A-League Women competitions, after fantastic starts to 2025.
The Englishman has enjoyed a brilliant start to the 2024-25 campaign, and surged to the top of the Golden Boot charts with nine goals after a string of great performances in January.
Lolley scored four goals – including a match-winning hat-trick against Perth Glory – to go with two assists in their loss to Brisbane Roar.
The former Huddersfield and Nottingham Forest attacker also has a league best 14 goal contributions this season, adding a total of five assists to go with his nine goals.
Jenkins has been Adelaide’s first-choice keeper this season after usurping Annalie Grove and hasn’t looked back, solidifying herself as one of the in-form goalkeepers in the competition.
She’s kept five clean sheets this season – which is the second most in the league – and has played a huge role in helping the Reds rise up the table into third place heading into February.
Jenkins has made 3.8 saves per match which is the fourth most in the entire league and has a save percentage of 73.6% (third best in the league).
