Austraffic has completed another cigarette butt study for the City of Melbourne.
Butt litter was observed at 20 locations near night clubs between 2 and 4am following the introduction of smoking bans on 1 July 2007. Surveys were carried out in the last week of June before the bans took effect and then later the week after. Further follow up studies will be carried out later this year.
